So long to long hair
Mom finally convinces the boys it is time to cut their "hippie" hair. Here is the last picture before they are made over into clean cut boys (see pictures below). 
Bring back the mullet
The stylist has fun with the boys' long hair, seeing how they look with an old 1980s look (aka "the mullet"). The funny thing is their Dad actually had this style in High School (and so did their Mom, sort of). 
New hair-dos and new jackets
The boys are satisfied with their haircuts, but they were even more thrilled to spend their gift cards from Christmas on new jackets.

First Confession
Owen made his First Confession a few weeks ago. Here he is (in yellow) with 7 of the 10 students in my 2nd grade class. Believe it or not, he didn't talk Father's ear off in the confessional.
Prayer of Thanks
After it was over, Father gave a short prayer. Everyone was thankful it was over, especially the teacher :)

Ice Skating
We joined Jan's family support group in Omaha to ice skate. Jeff's boys were there too, and a good time was had by all the kids. Jan Bies (Fraser) brought her four kids to visit and eat at Valentino's afterwards, so a lot of memories were made on this day!
Basketball begins
Pierce had his first basketball game on Saturday. They won 12-4, with Pierce scoring most of the points.

Christmas at Home
We had a nice Christmas at home, despite Owen being sick all weekend and then off and on all week. Owen's big gift was a large remote control truck, while Pierce wanted a Robopet, which is a remote control pet. (There must be something to males and a love for remote controls, and it starts at a very early age.) They both got matching pajamas from Mom and Dad (as seen here).
